PTG provided technology consulting services to the client. PTG consultants successfully led key projects that had direct customer impact and supported the merger between two telecom companies.
The clients primary initiative was to consolidate all the customer databases for former subsidiaries into one common database, and to convert and migrate all billing accounts into one common billing platform. All Billing Business Processes were to be analyzed, documented and consolidated to eliminate redundancies, improve customer service and reduce operational costs.
PTG led the initiative to provide students of the largest community college system on the Texas Gulf coast with refund payments that will be reimbursed thru bank debit cards in lieu of the regular check payments by mail. Student Financials refunds are sent to Finance Accts Payable module for payment processing and sending EFT transactions to the bank. Customizations have been done on both the Student Financials refund process and the receiving Financials Acct Payables to allow debit card payments as well as the former option of paying by check. Processes/objects involved in the Peoplesoft environment are SF_AP_Refund app-engine, Student Vendor data and Voucher, Application Messaging between Student and Finance, Voucher build, Pay-Cycle manager and EFT sqrs in Finance AP.
